You can Be The Change that you want to see in Canada. By donating to this unique fund you will:

  • Help us to find – and fund – more grassroots projects than ever before;
  • Support us to reach out to the most remote places in Canada, such as the Arctic, and deep in to the Boreal forest, and offer support there;
  • Make available a pot of funding we can use to top-up projects that just need one extra push to tip them over the edge.

And you’ll be right there with us, blazing a trail across Canada with a new way of giving to charity. At a local level, where it's needed, where it counts, and where you can really see the value of your donation in action.

Success Stories

Gjoa Haven Mural Project

A group of students suggested a mural project that would highlight student voices and identity in Gjoa Haven.  A mural project that would be facilitated by a young and inspirational northern artist. The purpose was to invigorate, empower, and participate in giving a voice for young people in the community. The school, and the gym, was the perfect place to showcase this mural, message, and identity.

The Hamilton Fruit Tree Project
RAISED: $2161

The money raised through the Small Change Fund website was used towards paying for a part time co-ordinator for the 2011 harvest season.  Thank you for making this possible!

Why I Support Small Change Fund

Be The Change Fund

Kimberley Mackenzie

I truly believe that small local actions create global change. Small Change Fund is using innovation, enthusiasm and technology to fill a much needed gap in the fabric of our country. That is why I'm so proud to be a part of their community - if feels good to be part of the movement. It feels good to know that my money is helping a fellow Canadian who is making a big difference in their community and the world.

I support Small Change Fund because its a unique idea, it's trying to implement a new model of online giving, it's not just the traditional giving to a run, for example.  It's giving people the power to put their money to good use for projects that wouldn't otherwise see the light of day, and for people who don't have the resources to reach a Canada wide audience.
